Pranburi is a quiet, but up-and-coming beach resort, ideal for those who are looking for an unspoiled beach and an opportunity to explore nearby Sam Roi Yod National Park.
Pranburi is a quiet beach town south of Hua Hin near Sam Roi Yod National Park. A burgeoning tourist destination, Pranburi has a number of quiet and beautiful stretches of beach that are slowly seeing the development of a number of mid-range and up-scale hotels and resorts. Pranburi is becoming popular with those who are looking for a quiet alternative to nearby Hua Hin, particularly those who wish to combine time at the beach with day trips to nearby Sam Roi Yod National Park.
Situated just 30km south of Hua Hin, Pranburi is beginning to attract more visitors to its quiet and pristine beaches along the Gulf of Thailand. While perhaps not as beautiful as the beach at Hua Hin, Pranburi features a peaceful environment and is located near Sam Roi Yod National Park and Pranburi Forest Park, which features a spectacular mangrove forest where a river flows into the sea.
Pranburi is named after the River Pran which runs through it. ‘Paknam’ meaning river mouth and ‘Buri’ meaning town. The quaint village of Pranburi is becoming more popular but thankfully remains unspoiled and beautiful and retains a sense of privacy,
sometimes the beach is so quiet you could easily be on your own private beach. This is one of the most appealing factors and why the location of Villadee right on the beach front makes for the perfect vacation destination.

Klai Kangwon Palace stands by the sea in the Hua Hin District of Prachuap Khirikhan Province. King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) has graciously built it as a summer palace for Queen Rambai Barni by using money from Privy Purse. He ordered Prince Iddhidehsarn Kridakara, an architectural graduate from the Ecole Des Beaux Arts in France and the director of the Department of Fine Arts, to design and supervise the construction. His Majesty King Bhumibol (Rama IX) has graciously commanded to expand the area of the palace. He ordered to build a mansion for HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, and other buildings in the same style as the original seventh reign buildings so as to preserve harmony among the buildings of the palace. Also, the accommodation has been built for their entourage.
King Rama VII commanded the Klai Kangwon (Far From Worries) Palace to be built in 1929. This Spanish-style summer palace faces the sea and dominates an extensive ornamental garden. The Thai Royal Family still customarily spend the hottest months of the year, usually March through April, there. Members of the public can visit the palace between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day, when the Royal Family is not in residence. Admission fee is 20 baht. Call 0 3251 1115.
